  • 1 package chocolate cake mix baked and cut into cubes
  • 0.5 cup Baileys Irish Cream for creamy flavor
  • 225 g cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 0.25 cup cocoa powder for intense chocolate flavor
  • 1 cup whipped cream plus extra for layering

  • chocolate shavings or chips for garnish
  • optional crushed cookies or Oreos for extra texture and flavor

Equipment

  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Hand mixer or whisk
  • Trifle Dish or Individual Glasses

Method

  1. Step 1: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and Baileys Irish Cream with a hand mixer or whisk until smooth and creamy.
  2. Step 2: Gently fold in 1 cup of whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture to make it light and airy.
  3. Step 3: In a large trifle dish or individual glasses, layer half of the chocolate cake cubes.
  4. Step 4: Spread half of the prepared chocolate pudding evenly over the cake cubes.
  5. Step 5: Add half of the Baileys cheesecake cream on top of the pudding layer.
  6. Step 6: Add a layer of whipped cream to round off the layers.
  7. Step 7: Repeat the layers with the remaining cake cubes, pudding, cheesecake cream, and whipped cream.
  8. Step 8: Top the trifle with chocolate shavings or chips for garnish and optionally sprinkle crushed cookies or Oreos for extra texture.
  9. Step 9: Cover the dessert and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the layers to set and flavors to meld.

Notes

Variations include substituting Baileys with Amaretto or coffee liqueur, adding fresh berries between layers, or replacing Baileys with milk or cream for an alcohol-free version. Store leftovers covered in the fridge for 2–3 days.
